The Cignal HD-Ateneo Blue Eagles secured the 2019 PBA D-League title after defeating the CEU Scorpions, 3-1, in their best-of-five series. Cignal HD-Ateneo scored a 98-66 win in Game 4 last Tuesday night at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Angelo Kouame earned a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds, while William Navarro scored 16 points, Ilonggo forward Ferdinand ‘Thirdy’ Ravena III added 15, and George Isaac Go contributed seven points and seven rebounds.
Cignal HD-Ateneo wasted no time in dominating the game, taking a 27-5 lead behind early hits from Navarro and Kouame. The start set the tone for the rest of the game as the winning side went on to lead by as much as 37 points./ASC, WDJ
