A snatcher was arrested Monday night after allegedly victimizing a commuter near the Capitol Park and Lagoon in Bacolod City.
Police identified the suspect as John Etang, a resident of the city.
Based on information provided by Police Station 2 (PS2), the victim, Shirley Panuncio, was aboard a public utility vehicle when Etang allegedly snatched her mobile phone.
PS2 personnel immediately responded to the woman’s call for help and gave chase, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.
Police recovered the victim’s mobile phone, which is worth P8,000.
