A drug suspect who has previously surrendered to authorities was shot, stabbed, and killed last Monday at a Purok Tinagong Paraiso basketball court in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago.
Police identified the fatality as Joven Batillo, a resident of the said area.
Police Station 3 (PS3) investigators said Batillo was stabbed by a certain Rolando Permano, who reportedly pulled out an unidentified caliber firearm and shot Batillo in the back.
The suspect then fled the scene.
Batillo was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
PS3 is now conducting a follow-up operation against the suspect./DGB, WDJ
