Ilonggo basketball player Aaron Jeruta recently announced he would be joining the newest Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) team, the Iloilo United Royals. His experience is expected to boost the youthful Iloilo roster.
“I need to bring all the experience I gained last season from San Juan Knights—championship and playoffs experience,” he said in an interview with Courtside Philippines. “It was not easy for us back in San Juan and I think I have grown from that experience.”
“I feel at home now that I am playing for [the] Royals,” Jeruta added. “I am thankful to coach [Eric Gonzales] for getting me here.”
In his 36 MPBL Datu Cup games with the San Juan squad, he averaged of 5.19 points, 3.53 rebounds, 3.39 assists, and 18.3 minutes per outing./ASC, WDJ
