A man was hacked to death after being caught having an affair with a married woman at Purok Narra in Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, late Monday afternoon.

The fatality was identified as 62-year-old Reynaldo Enanoria of the said residence.

Initial investigations revealed, prior to the incident, the suspect’s wife, Norma Laurita, asked permission from her husband, 49-year-old Dennis Laurita, to leave and look for work in Bacolod City.

The following day, the husband verified the rumors his wife was having an affair with Enanoria.

He secretly visited Enanoria’s house, where he saw the victim half-naked and kissing his wife.

The victim eventually tried to run away but was chased by the suspect with a sugarcane bolo.

When the victim fell on the ground, the suspect hacked him several times.

The victim was brought to the hospital after sustaining multiple wounds, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The suspect voluntarily surrendered after the incident and is currently detained in the custodial facility of the Kabankalan City Police Station./NC, WDJ
