Talisay City hosts CISV International Camp

The 72 youth delegates of the recent CISV International Camp in Talisay City participated in a feeding program at Tayabas Elementary School.

For the second year in a row, Talisay City played host to the CISV International Camp at the CICM (Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae) Mission Seminary in Barangay Zone 15.
This year’s camp, which ended last weekend after running for nearly a month, welcomed 72 youth delegates from 13 countries.
Among the undertakings that took place during the event included a homestay at the Campuestohan Highland Resort, dinner at The Ruins, an earthquake and firefighting drill by the Talisay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, a feeding program at Tayabas Elementary School, among other activities.
The program was organized by Camp Piaya director Carmeli Bantug.
CISV International, formerly known as Children’s International Summer Villages, has been around since 1950 and encourages peace by developing cross-cultural friendship./WDJ
