The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-Negros Island Region (BJMP-NIR) recently swore in 20 new jail officers.
BJMP-NIR director, Jail Senior Superintendent Alberto Balauag, who led oath-taking rites, encouraged the new recruits to be upstanding officers.
“You must help bring a credible and effective service for the greater purpose of public safety,” he urged.
According to the BJMP-NIR, with the latest batch, the region is now fully-staffed to man its 30 jail facilities./WDJ
