A top drug personality was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone 2, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, early Sunday morning.
Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Melvin Amacna, the city’s sixth most wanted drug personality and a resident of Barangay Zone 6 in the said city.
Based on a report released by Talisay City police chief, Police Superintendent Adonis Rosales, Amacna previously surrendered as part of “Oplan: Tokhang.”
However, they later received a report that Amacna was allegedly back in the illegal drugs business. Law enforcement soon organized a buy-bust operation to apprehend him.
Police recovered one small and four elongated sized sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, the P200 marked money, and suspected drug proceeds amounting to P5,000.
Amacna faces charges of possession and sale of illegal drugs, and is currently detained at the Talisay City Police Station./WDJ
