The acting Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director formally takes office today.
Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr. will officially assume the post of NOPPO director after replacing Police Senior Superintendent William Señoron.
Castil was formerly a member of the Anti-Kidnapping Group at Camp Crame, Metro Manila, and is a native of Pangasinan. He is also a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and a former member of the Special Action Force (SAF).
Since Castil will act as a temporary head, Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18) will be submitting several names to Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. as an official replacement for Señoron.
Last week, Señoron was relieved of his post and transferred to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) at Camp Crame after he was accused by former Berya drug group member Ricky Serenio of having alleged links to illegal drugs in the province, an accusation Señoron has vehemently denied./WDJ
