Bacolod City dominated the softball competition of the 2017 Palarong NIR in Dumaguete City, winning both the secondary and elementary divisions.
In the secondary division, Bacolod City defeated Dumaguete City, 10-0, after five innings. Bacolod City only needed four innings, defeating the Negros Occidental selection, 10-0, in the elementary division.
The Negros Occidental selection earned bronze in the secondary division, while Silay City took the bronze in the elementary division./WDJ
