Bacolod City and San Carlos City were victorious in boys football at the 2017 Palarong NIR. Bacolod City won the elementary division, while San Carlos City won the secondary division.
Bacolod City trounced Sagay City, 4-0, in the elementary division final at the Foundation University field.
The first three goals were scored in the first half, from Isaiah Jacob Teruel and Kent John Bacolocos, while Edrian John Mayuga added the fourth in the second half.
San Carlos City defeated Bago City, 2-0, in the secondary division final at the Silliman University football field.
Joshua Broce earned a brace, scoring in the 35th and 62nd minutes.
The winning teams will represent NIR in the 2017 Palarong Pambansa in April./WDJ
