Following their 1-1 draw with Hà Nội T&T FC of Vietnam, in their first group stage match of the 2017 AFC Cup at the Mỹ Đình National Stadium, Ceres-Negros FC is scheduled to return to Bacolod City today to prepare for their March 7 match at the Panaad Park and Stadium against Tampines Rovers FC of Singapore.
“The team is still recovering from a long travel and now preparing for the home games,” said Coach Risto Vidaković.
For co-captain Martin Steuble, he believes the match in Vietnam was hard-fought.
“They gave us a lot of trouble,” he said. “We fought really well as a team and executed what coach wanted from us.”
The team is also scheduled to meet with Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. today at the Governor’s Office./WDJ
