According to Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) chief of operations and planning unit, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, who heads security for the upcoming AFC Cup group stage match at the Panaad Park and Stadium, 332 police personnel and rescue units will be deployed at the stadium and various hotels.
He explained the security plan is not just for players and coaches, but spectators as well.
BCPO will also be deploying enforcers to maintain traffic flow around the stadium.
Meanwhile, the local organizing committee (LOC) said all necessary logistics are already in place for the event, including a major facelift of the main stadium’s facilities.
Ceres-Negros FC is set to play Tampines Rovers FC of Singapore on Tuesday at the Panaad Park and Stadium in the ongoing group stage of the 2017 AFC Cup./WDJ
