P12-M ‘shabu’ seized in Bacolod

An estimated P12 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate drug buy-bust operations in Bacolod City.

The operations also led to the arrest of three high-value drug personalities, all residents of the city.

Police Captain Liberty Indiape, Bacolod City Police Office spokesperson, said alias “Ernesto” was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu in Barangay 12 at around 1:00 a.m. yesterday.

Police recovered several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 1,200 grams, with an estimated market value of P8.160 million.

Meanwhile, aliases “Joaquin” and “Mark” were arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 after one of them sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer at 11:43 p.m. in Purok Hollow Blocks, Barangay Singcang-Airport on Thursday, July 2.

Authorities recovered several plastic sachets containing the suspected illegal substance weighing approximately 550 grams, with an estimated street value of P3.740 million.

The suspects are currently detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 1 and 8.

They will face charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./MAP, WDJ
