The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has been urged to conduct a thorough investigation into the shooting incident in front of the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) last June 27.

Councilor Em Ang, in a resolution, said the shooting incident “occurred in front of the BCGC, a place of public trust and a symbol of governance,” has caused alarm and concern among the Bacolodnons.

Ang said the safety and security of the public, especially in areas adjacent to government institutions, are of the utmost importance to ensure a conducive environment for governance and public activities.

“It is imperative for the BCPO to conduct a swift, thorough and impartial investigation into the incident to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice,” she added.

“They should ensure the safety and security of the public, especially in areas surrounding government institutions,” the councilor said./MAP, WDJ
