A Grade 11 student was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu that led to the seizure of an estimated P2.040 million worth of illegal substance in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago yesterday.

The drug buy-bust operation led to the arrest of 21-year-old alias “Jonel,” a resident of Purok Nami-Nami in the village at 7:16 a.m.

Recovered from the suspect were several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 300 grams, and the marked money.

Police said the suspect, considered a high-value individual, is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 3.

He is facing charges of violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

A further investigation is ongoing to determine the supplier./MAP, WDJ
