An estimated P1.428 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug buy-bust operation in Bacolod City’s Barangay 27 on Monday, June 15.

The operation also led to the arrest of 52-year-old “Mary Rose,” a resident of Purok Star Apple 2 in the village.

Police Colonel Eugene Rebadomia, Bacolod City Police Office director, said “Mary Rose” was arrested by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after she sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer around 5:55 p.m.

Recovered from the suspect were several plastic sachets containing the suspected illegal substance weighing 210 grams, and the marked money.

Rebadomia said the suspect, considered a high-value individual, is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 4.

She is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

He said the CDEU is still conducting further investigation to determine the supplier of the suspect./MAP, WDJ
