An estimated P2.176 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug-bust operation at Purok Tahong in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 yesterday.
The operation also led to the arrest of 19-year-old “Nash,” a resident of the said village.
The suspect was arrested by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer around 2:30 a.m.
Recovered from the suspects were several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 320 grams and the marked money.
The suspect, considered a high-value individual, is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2.
He is facing charges for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 26 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Bacolod City Police Office Director Colonel Eugene Rebadomia also commended the operating team and reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying its campaign against illegal drugs./MAP, WDJ
