Bol Bol delivered a dominant double-double to power the TNT Tropang 5G past the Terrafirma Dyip, 101-89, in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup on Saturday, April 11, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Bol made 11 of his 18 field goals en route to 35 points, while also grabbing 14 rebounds and blocking four shots.

With their import leading the way, TNT regained its winning ways to improve to 3-2, while also sending the Dyip to a third loss in a row.

TNT set the tone by outscoring Terrafirma, 33-22, in the opening period but had to hold firm against the Dyip in the ensuing quarters.

The Dyip closed to within six points, 94-88, with still over three minutes to go off a Shawn Umali bucket. But Bol found Calvin Oftana wide open for a triple on TNT’s next possession, 97-88, and Terrafirma lost steam from there.

Oftana backed up Bol with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and TNT’s defense limited the Dyip to just 37 percent shooting.

Mubashar Ali had 24 points but shot just 8-of-26 for Terrafirma.

Jerrick Ahanmisi added 19 points, though he also struggled from the field, going 5-of-20. (ABS-CBN News)
