Police operatives arrested a high-value individual (HVI) and confiscated nearly P7 million worth of suspected shabu during a joint anti-illegal drug operation in Bacolod City’s Barangay Tangub on Saturday afternoon, December 13.

The suspect, identified only as 37-year-old alias “Paul,” temporarily residing in Barangay Tangub, was apprehended at around 5:55 p.m. in Purok Villa Esperanza following a buy-bust operation.

Seized from the suspect’s possession were approximately 1,025 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price of P6,970,000.

Authorities said “Paul” was arrested for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Appropriate charges are being readied against the suspect./CJ, WDJ
