The Farm Fresh Foxies barged into the quarterfinal round of the 2025 PVL On Tour after dominating the Capital1 Solar Energy Power Spikers in a knockout match, 25-20, 25-15, 25-21, at the Dasmariñas Arena in Cavite on Saturday, August 2.
Negrense libero Ann Monares emerged as a defensive anchor for the Foxies, tallying 14 excellent digs and nine excellent receptions to help her team secure the straight-sets victory.
Setting the tone offensively was rookie setter Alohi Robins-Hardy, who registered 15 excellent sets along with five points off four attacks and one service ace, while also contributing four excellent digs to earn Player of the Game honors.
Trisha Tubu led the scoring charge with 15 points, built on nine attacks, four blocks and two service aces.
Lorene Toring and Caitlyn Viray chipped in 11 points apiece, while Jolina dela Cruz added 10 markers for the Foxies.
Still reeling from their loss to the Nxled Chameleons last week that denied them an outright quarterfinal berth, Farm Fresh vented its frustration on Capital1 with a quick and decisive win.
Farm Fresh now moves on to face 10-time PVL champion Creamline in a knockout quarterfinal showdown at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Saturday, August 9.
Kecelyn Galdonez led Capital1 with seven points, while Trisha Genesis and Sophia Abbu added six points each.
The Solar Spikers ended their PVL campaign winless in all six of their matches.
Meanwhile, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers leaned on its composure and playoff-tested experience to sweep the Galeries Tower Highrisers, 25-23, 25-22, 25-21, and advance to the quarterfinals.
Veteran outside hitter Victonara Galang led the way with an all-around effort of 11 points and 11 excellent digs, earning Best Player of the Game honors for the Crossovers.
Ilongga Princess Robles topscored for Chery Tiggo with 13 points while also anchoring the floor defense with nine digs and five receptions.
Imee Hernandez added seven markers and Ilongga middle blocker Aby Maraño chipped in five points./ASC, WDJ
