P1.8-M ‘shabu’ seized, 6 arrested

Six individuals were arrested following the seizure of P1.8 million worth of suspected shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation at Purok Star Apple 2 in Bacolod City’s Barangay 27 on Saturday morning, February 8.

The arrested individuals — identified by their aliases as 28-year-old “Jenica,” a high-value individual; 46-year-old “Jingle,” 39-year-old “Terence,” 33-year-old “Kim,” 39-year-old “Marlon,” and 32-year-old “Rocky,” street-level individuals — are all residents of Bacolod and of legal age, the Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit said in a report.

Around 270 grams of suspected shabu were found in the suspects’ possession, along with other non-drug items.

The suspects will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./JB, WDJ
