The Negros Occidental provincial government has passed this year’s Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), following the release of a list by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Saturday, December 2.
Among the local government units (LGUs) in Negros Occidental that also passed the SGLG are the cities of Cadiz, Escalante, Himamaylan, Sagay, San Carlos, Talisay and Victorias, as well as the towns of La Castellana and Manapla.
The awarding ceremony will take place on December 13 and 14, which will serve as the DILG’s recognition of LGUs’ excellent performance.
The award also serves as the basis for granting a performance-based bonus (PBB) to government employees.
Provincial administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said capitol employees did not receive their PBB this year because Negros Occidental did not pass the SGLG for 2022.
The LGUs capable of providing PBB this year include the cities of Bago, Himamaylan, Sagay, San Carlos, Silay, and Talisay, as well as Hinoba-an town./DGB, WDJ
