The Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Negros Occidental’s Sagay City was forced to temporarily suspend admissions yesterday morning after hitting full-bed capacity.
The hospital management said that the number of patients coming into the emergency room has greatly increased, resulting in their triage tents and wards reaching full-bed capacity, the Sagay City government, in a social media post, said.
The hospital management would cater to “extreme emergency cases” only, and advised the public to look for other alternative hospitals.
It also assured the public that they will release updates once the situation changes.
In January of this year, Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital was forced to suspend admissions after an increase in gastroenteritis cases caused the hospital to hit capacity.
