Real estate brokers attributed the housing construction boom and the continued growth of their sector in Bacolod City to the leadership of Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
With more than 200 real estate brokers converging at the Grand Ballroom of Sugarland Hotel for the 2022 Leadership Summit hosted by Filipino Homes last February 23, president Anthony Leuterio described Leonardia as a “visionary” when he saw the rise of the real estate business in Bacolod, as well as the city’s ongoing progress 14 years ago.
“The progress of a city depends on the person who has the vision for its future. I believe this man is a futuristic leader who had foreseen the development of Bacolod City way back in 2008,” Leuterio said.
He also added that he believes in the mayor’s call for continuity and described him as the “Real Estate Man of the Philippines.”
On the other hand, Leonardia lauded the group for their contribution to the economic rise of Bacolod even during the height of the pandemic.
“I can see a bright future when I see one. And looking at this summit, you can see the progress of the real estate industry in Bacolod; we all have key players when it comes to development,” the mayor, who is also a licensed real estate broker, said.
