A construction worker was declared dead-on-the-spot after he was stabbed late Friday night at Dalla Street in Greensville Subdivision in Bacolod City’s Barangay Villamonte.

Police identified the fatality as 43-year-old Danilo Rogero, a temporary resident of the barangay’s Purok 42 Bayanihan.

Police Station 4 commander, Police Major Junray Batadlan, said based on witnesses in the area, they saw Rogero running and shouting for help before falling down and ultimately dying on the spot.

Preliminary post mortem of the victim’s body showed that he sustained a total of three stab wounds in the neck, stomach and chest.

Batadlan said the victim’s mobile phone was also missing and it is believed that the suspect may have taken it.

He further added they already have a suspect in the murder, although he temporarily refused to name the individual./DGB, WDJ
