A curfew violator was nabbed with suspected shabu at the Villarante Bridge in Barangay 1, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 3.
Police identified the arrested as 24-year-old Jerome Escarpe of the said village.
San Carlos City Police Station report revealed that Escarpe was subjected to “Oplan Bakal/Sita” for not wearing a face mask and violation of curfew in relation to Executive Order No. 21-33 series of 2021.
The suspect was allegedly seen in the act of throwing one open sachet and two sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 0.3 gram and valued at P2,040, police said.
Escarpe was detained at the San Carlos City Police Station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will also be filed against him./WDJ
