The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) reshuffled police commissioned officers (PCO) holding various key positions in the provincial police office and municipal police stations.

Effective July 1, Police Capt. Ellendie A. Rebusquillo replaced P/Maj. Fernando D. Somblingo as chief of the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station (MPS).

Somblingo is now assigned at the provincial headquarters (PHQ) as deputy of the Provincial Operations Management Unit.

On the other hand, effective July 2, P/Lt. Col. Rollie L. Pondevilla was designated as officer-in-charge of the Calatrava MPS while the outgoing chief, P/Maj. Roberto V. Indiape Jr., is now assigned at the PHQ.

Meanwhile, P/Lt. Col. Norberto P. Barniso is the new officer-in-charge of the Cauayan MPS, taking the position of P/Lt. Col. Lowell G. Garinganao, who is now the chief of the Human Rights Affairs Office of NOCPPO.

The newly assigned PCO in the PHQ, P/Lt. Col. Mark Evan P. Salvo is installed at the Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit as chief of the section.

Salvo was previously assigned at the Iloilo City Police Office prior to his transfer to NOCPPO.

The reshuffling is regularly done especially to PCOs occupying key positions after reaching the maximum prescribed tenure in the position to avoid over familiarity with the position that may affect the performance of the unit on its mandate./WDJ
