An executive order issued by Pulupandan Mayor Miguel Antonio Peña imposed both a curfew and road closures in the town in an effort to prevent exposure to the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19.
A curfew will be imposed from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. with the exception of health care workers, government officials on official business, and peace and order officers. In addition, a general cleaning will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Meanwhile, road closures were implemented along the town’s Middle Plaza Road and Mabini Barangay, while checkpoints have been placed at the town’s “strategic locations.”
Additionally, commercial pumpboat operations will be limited to cargo and only allowed to operate along Dungkaan-Paco Beach in Barangay Zone 1A from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The crew of the commercial vessels will not be allowed to disembark.
The town’s central school has also been established as the local quarantine facility for both persons under monitoring and patients under investigation with the local government vowing to provide for those under quarantine with food, medicine, and other basic services./DGB, WDJ
