Talisay City’s Minuluan Festival celebrated the Kapuso Fiesta over the weekend, which was hosted by Boobay of “The Boobay and Tekla Show.” The event also featured Rita Daniela and Ken Chan, stars of the much-heralded afternoon drama “My Special Tatay” and upcoming primetime series “One of the Baes.”
During a press conference in Bacolod City, the pair also promoted the upcoming second season of “The Clash,” which premieres on September 21. The two are set to serve as “journey hosts” for the singing competition.
“Aside from their talent, I’m sure that this new pool of contestants, from all around the country and the world, have inspiring stories to share with all our Kapuso viewers,” Chan noted.
In addition, Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz join the show as the “clash masters;” while last season’s judges—Lani Misalucha, Christian Bautista, and Ai Ai delas Alas—return for the second season.
According to a report from GMA News, GMA Regional TV Vice President Oliver Amoroso addressed their “Kapusong Talisaynon.”
“As we pay homage to Talisay’s patron saint, San Nicholas de Tolentino, we also take pride in being part of our Kapusong Talisaynons’ devotion to their local culture and arts,” he said./DGB, WDJ
