The National Commission for Culture and the Arts will be launching their P5 million Cultural Hub of Negros Occidental at the Negros Museum in Bacolod City this weekend, August 10.
The venue seeks to provide a platform to initiate and sustain local culture through the arts.
Negros Cultural Foundation Inc. (NCF) President Lyn Gamboa said of the project, “The establishment of the cultural hub provides opportunities for artist and audience development, artistic expression and collaboration, transfer of skills, training of art and culture managers, and other programs that will promote appreciation and support towards the development and sustainability of arts and culture in the province.”
Among the features of the venue include the black box theater, an exhibition lobby, conference rooms, galleries, among other components.
“With these spaces, the hub will host numerous and diverse cultural and art activities,” Gamboa added.
