Brownlee, Jones lead the race for ‘Best Import’

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel forward Justin Brownlee and TNT KaTropa power forward Terrence Jones currently lead the race for the Best Import of the Conference award for the 2019 Honda PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Brownlee is currently on track to win his second consecutive award with 61.8 statistical points (SPs), wherein a player earns one SP for every point scored, rebound assist, steal, and blocked shot. The Barangay Ginebra player has averaged a league-high 34.2 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 2.6 steals, and 1.9 blocks.
Meanwhile, Jones is in a close second with 60.2 SPs while averaging 32.8 points, 15.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 2.9 blocks, along with a league-leading 7.4 assists.
Among other contenders for the award include Chris McCullough of the San Miguel Beermen, Columbian Dyip’s Lester Prosper, and Diamon Simpson of the Alaska Aces.
The league is set to name the winner on August 11 during the Game 4 of the best-of-seven finals series between TNT KaTropa and the San Miguel Beermen./ASC, WDJ
