Basilan-St. Clare remains undefeated in the D-League

BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare Saints remained undefeated in the ongoing PBA D-League after scoring an 85-70 victory over the TIP Engineers last Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Jhaps Bautista converted three outside hits in the fourth period as part of a scintillating 23-5 run by Basilan-St. Clare, which expanded a 60-56 lead to 83-61 with just over two minutes left in the game.
Bautista finished with 13 points, including 3-of-7 shooting from the outside, along with three steals and two assists; while Irven Palencia tallied 17 points, four rebounds, four steals, and three assists; and Mohammad Pare churned out a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards.
“Yun ang nire-remind ko sa veterans ko na sila dapat ang mag-adjust dahil sila ang bago sa team (I reminded my veteran players that they should adjust because they are a new team),” explained Basilan-St. Clare head coach Stevenson Tiu.
