La Castellana police chief, Police Major Robert Dejucos, was relieved from duty yesterday by Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros. In his weekly press conference, Baleros said the order was given based on the results of performance evaluations.
Dejucos will be replaced by Police Major Fernando Somblingo, who was previously assigned under the Special Action Force Battalion-Region VI. He noted, the transfer will be Somblingo’s first assignment as a police station chief while Dejucos’ next assignment has yet to be determined.
Baleros said the department conducts routine evaluations and anticipated more changes as evaluations are ongoing in Isabela, Binalbagan, and Hinigaran./DGB, WDJ
