Filipino boxers Marlon Tapales and Jhack Tepora defeated their respective opponents during a recent boxing event at the Soboba Casino Resort in San Jacinto, California in the United States.
Tapales defeated Mexican boxer Roberto Castaneda via third round stoppage after referee Ray Corona stopped the fight with 1:37 left in the round; while American fighter Jose Luis Gallegos lost via unanimous decision to Tepora, who had previously lost in an undercard bout during the Manny Pacquiao-Adrien Broner event.
The win pushed Tapales to a 33-2-0 win-loss-draw record with 16 stoppage wins, while Tepora remains undefeated with a 23-0-0 record with 17 knockouts./ASC, WDJ
