Philippines beats Mongolia

The Philippines girls’ 3×3 basketball team scored a 20-14 victory last Monday over 2019 FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup hosts Mongolia at Sukhbaatar Square in Ulaanbaatar.
Mongolia’s Enermaa Erdenebayar scored first in the game but Camille Clarin and Ella Fajardo led a run for the Philippines, pulling ahead to a 9-5 lead. Erdenebayar eventually managed to cut the deficit to four points; however, Fajardo found Clarin for a deuce before Angelica Surada sealed the win with three straight points.
The Philippines opened their 3×3 U18 World Cup campaign with a 22-2 drubbing from France.
Other teams drawn in Pool C include the Netherlands and Czech Republic.
The top two teams advance to the next round.
The competition concludes on Friday, June 7./ASC, WDJ
