By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

Dhar Al-Dhikr Islamic Center Imam Omar Betita said he is seeking assistance from the Bacolod City government in order to improve the Muslim cemetery in Barangay Handumanan. Established in 1997, the cemetery is located behind a Christian cemetery.
He said the cemetery walls are crumbling and wants the city to assist in its reconstruction.
Betita said he is unable to provide a quote on the cost but said, following an earlier meeting with city officials, they were already promised assistance.
The imam said they also discussed way in which to alleviate poverty for Muslims living in the city./DGB,WDJ
