The Negros Occidental provincial government is seeking nurses, midwives, and physical therapists interested in their “Study Now, Pay Later” Japanese language program, along with vocational caregiving training in Japan.
Eligible applicants will undergo a four-month Japanese language training with the Organization for Industrial, Spiritual, and Cultural Advancement (OISCA) Training Center in Bago City.
According to Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Head Karen Dinsay, interested applicants should be single and between the ages of 21 and 30.
Assessment for the Japanese language and culture training course begins next month.
Earlier this year, after 10 Negrense students were granted three-year scholarships to study at Japan’s Miyakonojo Higashi High School last December, the second batch of 10 students departed for Japan in March.
OISCA Director Shigemi Watanabe said the earlier batch of students are doing very well and assured parents that students would be safe while overseas./WDJ
