The Kaon Ta! Silay Food Festival, an event of the Silay City Charter Day celebration, begins this weekend at the Victor Fernandez Gaston Ancestral House, also known as Balay Negrense Museum.
The weekend event seeks to celebrate the city’s culinary heritage by offering a variety of dishes provided by El Ideal Bakery, Emma Lacson, German Unson Bed and Breakfast, Sir & Ma’am, Ann Co Cakes, among other local establishments.
Aside from food, the festival will also offer performances from the Kabataang Silay Rondalla Ensemble and an Ian Valladares art exhibit.
In addition, Java Loco will provide evening entertainment./WDJ
