Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) director, Police Brigadier General John Bulalacao, affirmed no significant incidents were recorded during the Holy Week observance, which ran from April 14 to April 21.
In a press conference at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City, the PRO-6 chief said there has been an overall drop in criminality with 454 incidents recorded during this year’s observance as compared to the 551 reported last year.
“The prevention efforts made by PRO-6 has become effective,” Bulalacao said.
The law enforcement official said this year’s successes are due to the notable presence of police officers on the streets, early announcements for religious activities, dissemination of crime prevention tips, and cooperation from the community./DGB, WDJ
