Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) and De La Salle University (DLSU) both scored wins over the weekend in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball season at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. AdMU cruised to their tenth straight victory after a 25-14, 24-26, 25-17, 25-19 victory over rookie-laden National University, while DLSU sealed a 25-15, 25-18, 25-16 win over Adamson University.

Kat Tolentino and Julia Samonte tallied 13 points each for AdMU; while Madeleine Madayag added 12 points, along with five blocks.

“We can’t be complacent,” said AdMU head coach Oliver Almadro. “What’s important for us now is to be better and to be ready for future challenges.”

Meanwhile, Rookie Jolina Dela Cruz led DLSU with 13 points, while captain Desiree Cheng added 11 markers./ASC, WDJ
