The University of Santo Tomas (UST) made quick work of the University of the East (UE) in their 25-20, 25-20, 25-16 win over the weekend in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball season at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ejiya Laure tallied 14 points on 12 attacks, one block, and a service ace for UST; while Cherry Rondina and rookie Ysabel Jimenez delivered 11 and 10 markers, respectively.

UST jumped to an early lead in each set before preventing their opponents from coming close. The win moved UST closer to a “Final Four” berth.

“Si UE kasi may threat (UE is a threat),” said UST mentor Emilio Reyes. “Kaya inanalyze namin ‘yung past games nila (We analyzed their past games).”
