The Petron Blaze Spikers made it into the 2019 Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix Conference semifinal after their 25-17, 25-11, 25-19 win over the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors last Saturday at the San Juan Arena.

Katherine Bell led Petron with a double-double contributing 19 points and 17 digs; while Stephanie Niemer chipped in 16 markers.

The defending champions now await the winner of the series between the Cignal HD Spikers and the United Volleyball Club.

“We’re very happy that we’re now in the semis,” said Petron coach Ceseal Delos Santos.

“The road ahead will be a lot tougher,” he added. “It’s a whole new battle for us and we have to prepare hard.”

Meanwhile, in the other match, Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy kept their hopes alive with a 27-25, 19-25, 25-22, 16-25, 15-12 win over the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers./ASC, WDJ
