Kaya FC-Iloilo midfielder Marwin Angeles came up with a late equalizer, forcing a 1-1 draw with PSM Makassar in their recent 2019 AFC Cup group stage match at the Pakansari Stadium in Indonesia. The two remain tied atop Group H on five points.

Kaya FC nearly opened scoring after striker Jordan Mintah’s attempt was thwarted by goalkeeper Rivky Mokodompit. Later in the half, two attempts by Kaya forward Darryl Roberts went wide.

The two clubs went into halftime scoreless, 0-0.

In the 56th minute, PSM Makassar was awarded a penalty, which was successfully converted by striker Eero Markkanen.

Kaya fought to salvage the match with forward Connor Tacagni and midfielder Yannick Tuason both making failed attempts. However, it was not until late into stoppage time when Angeles managed to get the ball into the net.

The two clubs will meet again on April 17 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City./ASC, WDJ
