Two suspected drug personalities, one of whom is identified as a “Level 1-high value drug target,” were arrested Monday afternoon following a buy-bust operation at Purok Patuloy Zone 4 in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspects as 48-year-old Maricris Luberisco and 57-year-old Ruperto Lusabia, both residents of the said barangay.

Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said the suspects were caught in the act of engaging in illegal drug activities during the operation.

Police moved in after Luberisco allegedly handed one sachet of shabu worth P3,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

A search of the suspects further yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu and P234 in suspected drug proceeds.

Both suspects are detained at the Silay City Police Station on drug-related charges./DGB, WDJ
