Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) head Jeck Conlu recently revealed road rehabilitation projects are planned this month along Huervana Street in Iloilo City’s La Paz district.

The PSTMO head said to expect traffic congestion.

He noted, however, a traffic rerouting plan is in the works.

Conlu appealed for patience from motorists and affirmed his office would be monitoring the construction projects.

“Rest assured man nga i-monitor gid sang office ko ang construction para mapadali ang pag trabaho nila (My office will be monitoring the construction to make sure they are working quickly),” he stated.

Last month, Conlu admitted most of the city’s road projects are delayed.

“Naga-appeal ako sa mga contractors sang mga road projects nga kon pwede obrahon nila 24/7 (I appealed to contractors of the road projects, requesting they work 24 hours a day, seven days a week),” he said at the time./WDJ
