A total of 154 Bible-based conventions, which are being organized by Jehovah’s Witnesses, will be taking place across the country until the end of August. The events got underway last weekend, when around 5,000 participated in the opening convention at the Witnesses’ Assembly Hall in Novaliches, Quezon City.
“The last 14 of these three-day Bible seminars will be held [from] August 24 to 26 in Metro Manila and other major cities,” said Philippine convention committee spokesman Danilo Calso.
Each convention begins on a Friday and ends on a Sunday. Sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., with activities including talks, symposia, and video presentations on a variety of pertinent topics.
In addition, Fridays feature the keynote address, “Jehovah-The Source of True Courage;” a talk entitled “We Are Not the Sort Who Shrink Back” takes place on Saturdays, and a discourse on “The Resurrection Hope Imparts Courage, How?” is conducted on Sundays.
Screening of the film “The Story of Jonah-A Lesson in Courage and Mercy” closes Sunday afternoon sessions.
