Two illegal “fruit machines,” which are used for gambling, were seized when operatives conducted a raid yesterday morning at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

Newly-installed Police Station 2 (PS2) commander, Police Senior Inspector Leo Estopa, said they conducted the operation after receiving reports regarding illegal gambling activity in the area.

However, when PS2 operatives raided the area around 1:00 a.m., the reported owner of the illegal gambling machines, identified as Mary Jean Galo, fled.

Police are presently conducting a follow-up operation against Galo, who faces illegal gambling charges./DGB, WDJ
