The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened the “Bagong Buhay Boracay” store last week in the west wing of the DTI Bureau of Domestic Trade and Promotions Showroom, located in Makati City.

The store features food products, wearables, fashion accessories, home decor, and other souvenir items crafted by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

According to DTI, the event seeks to help Aklan-based MSMEs access markets outside their province amid the ongoing closure of resort destination Boracay.

“This will be a continuing project,” said DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez.

He went on to call it an “effort to support innovating and marketing the product.”

Meanwhile, the Sikat Pinoy National Arts and Crafts Fair, which will take place from June 14 to 17 at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, will also feature similar products./WDJ
