The Philippine Statistics Authority recently approved the conduct of a survey on tuberculosis care quality. A recent report by the Bacolod City Health Office found tuberculosis to be among the top causes of death in the city.

The survey intends to assess current conditions for treating tuberculosis; evaluate quality of service, provider competency, and patient satisfaction; among other pertinent issues.

The survey will span around 10 facilities per selected locale.

Survey results are projected to be ready by August./WDJ
